Bingo Accessories: The Complete Buyer's Guide

Whether you're setting up a home game night, running a church fundraiser, or equipping a community bingo hall, the right accessories make a significant difference in the experience. Here's a complete guide to bingo equipment.

Bingo Ball Sets

Traditional bingo uses 75 numbered balls (1–75) in a wire cage or electronic blower. For home use:

  • Cage and balls set: Classic hand-cranked wire cage with wooden or plastic balls. Affordable and reliable for home use.
  • Electronic blower: Air-powered ball display. More professional feel, used in bingo halls. Higher cost.
  • Digital caller (recommended): Funny Bingo replaces all physical equipment with a free browser app that calls numbers by voice and tracks everything automatically.

Bingo Cards

  • Paper cards: Disposable, cheap to print, easy to distribute
  • Laminated cards: Reusable, more expensive upfront but cost-effective long-term
  • Digital cards: Free via Funny Bingo QR code — no printing or laminating required

Daubers (Bingo Markers)

Daubers are ink-filled markers used to blot called numbers on paper cards. What to look for:

  • Ink visibility: Should be bright and opaque — avoid daubers with thin ink
  • Tip size: Standard tip (3/4") works for most cards; large tip for seniors or accessibility needs
  • Colors: Buy assorted colors so players can differentiate their cards
  • Ink type: Water-based is safer; permanent ink for laminated cards

Bingo Chips and Tokens

For reusable physical cards, chips or tokens replace daubers. Poker chips, dried beans, or dedicated bingo chips all work. Advantage: cards can be reused round after round without reprinting.

Master Board Display

Traditional halls use a physical master board with numbered slots. Modern solution: Funny Bingo's on-screen master board displays all 75 balls in a 5×15 grid — called balls are highlighted automatically, saving significant cost and setup time.

Portable PA System

For events with 30+ players, a PA speaker ensures everyone can hear the caller clearly. A Bluetooth speaker with microphone input is the most convenient option for mobile events.
